Afghanistan… 50 ISIS terrorists surrendered in Nangarhar province
- At least 50 ISIS fighters have surrendered to the Taliban in Nangarhar province, local officials said
- According to Afghan sources, the surrender took place after mediation by tribal elders
- This comes after 500 ISIS elements surrendered to the Taliban group after it took power in mid-August 2021
Local officials said at least 50 ISIS fighters have surrendered to the Taliban in Nangarhar Province eastern Afghanistan
According to Afghan sources, the surrender took place after mediation by tribal sheikhs in the region Nangarhar
Dr. Bashir, director of Nangarhar intelligence, said that based on an amnesty decree, ISIS fighters surrendered to the Taliban group, adding that the operation was continuing.
However, Nangarhar tribal elders warned the newly surrendered terrorists that they would face dire consequences if they returned and joined ISIS.
