Abdullah Al-Saeed recently participated with the national team in the 2022 African Cup of Nations in Cameroon, and led his teammates to the final match against Senegal, which ended in favor of Senegal on penalties.
Abdullah Al-Saeed published an official statement through his official account on “Twitter”, in which he said: “In the beginning, I hoped that we would return with the cup, in order to make the fans happy after the long journey in the tournament, but God’s destiny and what he wanted did.”

The player had participated in the first three matches with the Egyptian national team in the African Nations Cup, before sitting on the bench and completely away from the main formation, because of his objection to coach Carlos Queiroz replacing him in a match
