New Israeli raids on Damascus and the Syrian regime is confronting them

At dawn on Wednesday, Israel launched new raids south of the Syrian capital Damascusaffected batteries belonging to the air defense system.
The Syrian regime’s news agency had earlier reported that the regime’s air defenses had confronted Israeli missiles in the sky of Damascus and shot down a number of them in the vicinity of the capital, without giving any details about material damage or injuries.
Syrian television quoted a military source as saying that a soldier affiliated with the Syrian regime had fallen as a result of the Israeli attack, and five others were wounded, in addition to material losses.
Reuters also quoted the Israeli army as saying that missile sirens sounded in northern Israel Israel.
The Israeli military reported on Twitter that the sirens sounded near the town of Umm al-Fahm, about 80 kilometers north of Jerusalem, and in the northern part of the occupied West Bank.
The Israeli army also clarified that “it was determined that an anti-aircraft missile was launched from Syrian territory towards Israel,” adding that “the missile exploded in the air and there was no reason to intercept it.”
