Bahrain… Launching “Permanent Residency” to Attract Talents and Investments

The Bahrain News Agency said that Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, chaired today the regular weekly meeting of the Council of Ministers, which was held at Gudaibiya Palace.

During the meeting, the Cabinet announced the launch of the golden residency, which comes within the economic recovery plan, which will contribute to enhancing the competitiveness of the Kingdom of Bahrain, support development paths in various economic, investment and service sectors, attract talent and open the way for them to obtain permanent residency in the Kingdom of Bahrain for them and their families.

The agency stated that the launch of the golden residence came after reviewing the memorandum submitted in this regard by the Minister of Interior.

And Reuters news agency stated that the golden residence visa will be renewed indefinitely and gives the right to work in Bahrain and unrestricted entry and exit in addition to the right of residence for family members.

To be eligible for the new visa, the person must have resided in Bahrain for at least five years and with an average salary of no less than 2,000 Bahraini dinars ($5306) per month.
