Tuchel, who contracted Covid-19 last week, was forced to miss Chelsea’s 2-1 victory over Plymouth in the FA Cup and 1-0 over Saudi Arabia’s Al Hilal in the Club World Cup semi-final last Wednesday.
Chelsea said in a statement: “Our coach was able to travel to the United Arab Emirates on Friday, and he was allowed to travel after following the treatment protocol and the result of his test for the Corona virus was negative.
He continued, “He joined the players and the supporting staff after his arrival in Abu Dhabi last night, local time, shortly after the team’s last training before the Club World Cup final today.”
The European champion will meet Palmeiras in the final at Mohammed bin Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi.
Chelsea qualified for the final also in its last participation in the Club World Cup 2012, but lost 1-0 to Corinthians in Japan.
