Before the Senegal match, the star of the Egyptian national team announces his retirement from international football

Abdullah Al-Saeed was on the list of Egypt’s national team participating in the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations, which was held in Cameroon.

Al-Saeed announced his retirement through his official account on Twitter, expressing his pride in his career with the Egyptian national team, and thanked everyone who helped him to represent the team.

Al-Saeed wrote: “Praise be to God, I was honored to wear the Egyptian national team shirt and represent my country for many years in all the junior and youth stages until I reached the first team.”

He added, “I thank all the technical and administrative bodies and the players that I had the honor to work with at all stages.”

He revealed: “Today, I announce my retirement from international football with Egypt’s first national team after all these years in which I had the honor to represent my country, Egypt.”

Al-Saad revealed that his decision was ready before the last African Nations Cup, which he hoped to culminate in to end his career.

Al-Saeed’s decision came one month before Egypt’s match against Senegal, which qualifies for the 2022 World Cup.

Al-Saeed expressed his sadness at not achieving the African Nations Championship, saying: “In the beginning, I hoped to return with the cup to make all people rejoice after the long journey in the tournament, but God’s destiny and what he wanted he did.”

Abdullah Al-Saeed played 55 matches for the national team, during which he scored 6 goals and assisted 10 others.
