British police send interrogation questions to Johnson in the “party scandal”
The Metropolitan Police is in contact with more than 50 people believed to have attended parties at Johnson’s office and residence in Downing Street during the government’s lockdown measures to combat the Corona pandemic.
And the police want answers from them to explain their participation in these parties.
“We can confirm that the Prime Minister has received a questionnaire from the Metropolitan Police. He will respond to it as required,” Johnson’s spokesman said in a statement.
Police are investigating 12 gatherings at the British Prime Minister’s headquarters in 10 Downing Street, after a preliminary investigation revealed that Johnson’s employees attended parties during the closing procedures, and that Johnson himself participated in a number of those celebrations.
