Egypt .. $91 billion net foreign exchange reserves in January
According to the Central Bank of Egypt, foreign exchange reserves rose in January to 40.98 billion dollars, after they were 40.93 billion dollars in December 2021.
Foreign exchange reserves have been rising since June 2020, after they fell to about $36 billion from more than $45.5 billion due to the effects of the Corona virus pandemic.
The Central Bank of Egypt had revealed earlier that the balance of payments achieved a surplus of 311 million dollars.
He explained that the improvement in the service balance represented in the revenues of the tourism sector, which rose to two billion and 800 million dollars, contributed to reducing the deficit.
