At least 14 people were killed and 35 injured in Colombiain a landslide caused by heavy rain, according to the National Disaster Management Agency.
Rainfall early Tuesday morning on a mountain in the central-western province of Risaralda caused a landslide that buried many homes in the poor Dosquebradas region, in Colombia.
“35 wounded are receiving care in hospital and 11 people have been killed,” the National Risk and Disaster Management Unit wrote on Twitter.
Rescue teams worked among the mud to search for survivors, according to the agency, which reported earlier on Tuesday that seven people were killed and 29 injured in the disaster. Families who stay close to the river for fear of flooding.
