Saeed: The draft penal reconciliation decree is ready
- Saeed confirmed that the draft penal reconciliation decree is ready and will be presented to the Council of Ministers during its next meeting
- He called for the necessity of expediting the preparation of a draft text related to the audit of loans and grants obtained by Tunisia
- He stressed that some are still covering up and refused to provide the defense team with documents that condemn those behind the assassination of the two martyrs, Chokri Belaid and Mohamed Brahmi.
Tunisian President Kais Saied said, during a meeting with the Prime Minister, Naglaa Boudenat the Carthage Palace, on Monday evening, through a video published by the Presidency of the Republic, that a ministerial working session will be held next Thursday or before, according to the situation, to consider a number of decrees in light of these exceptional measures that Tunisia is going through.
Saeed confirmed that the draft penal reconciliation decree is ready and will be presented to the Cabinet during its next meeting.
He also called for the need to expedite the preparation of a draft text related to auditing the loans and grants that Tunisia has obtained since 2011, saying, “Where did the money that we listen to in news bulletins and find no trace of it in state coffers?”
Then he added, “It is the people’s right to know who has benefited from this money.”
The Tunisian President also stated that the project to dissolve the Supreme Judicial Council is ready and will be discussed, in the coming days, saying: The superior committee of justice It has been resolved, but I will never interfere in the judiciary, and the solution has been resorted to because it has become necessary, and it is time to put an end to the farce that is taking place and we will listen to it.”
He stressed that some are still covering up and refusing to provide the defense team with documents that condemn those behind the assassination of the two martyrs, Chokri Belaid and Muhammad Brahmi, as well as the assassination of security and military personnel, according to him.
He said, “There are many judges who have been transferred in order to abuse them…because they were not drawn into the currents that tampered with the files inside the palaces of justice.”
Saeed also clarified that the judiciary must be at the level of the stage, saying that resorting to the dissolution of the Supreme Judicial Council in order to purify the judiciary.
He continued, “I do not want to gather power, and I want there to be a constitution that stems from the popular will.”
The Tunisian president stated that the Tunisian people want to cleanse the country, stressing that he will not interfere in any case or appointment, according to the same video.
On the other hand, Saeed stressed the need to confront the phenomenon of drug promotion in the school environment, by looking at a complete policy, not based on laws only, stressing that drugs are sourced from “lobbyists” who want to destroy the state and society.
The Tunisian president inquired about how narcotics are promoted, especially among students in the school environment, stressing his determination and continuity to face all challenges with the same principles and the same determination.
And he concluded, “And we do not fear, in truth, the blame of the blamer.”
