A small plane caught fire after crashing near the town of Barcelonnette-Saint-Pons in the southern French province of Alpes-de-Haute-Provence. While 1 of the 4 people on the plane died, 3 people were seriously injured. Three helicopters were sent to the scene.
While the cause of the accident is not yet known, an investigation has been launched into the incident.
