A convoy of logistical support for the Iraqi forces was targeted with an explosive device on the international road linking Basra and the Iraqi capital, Baghdad.
A security source told Akhbar Alan, “A convoy of the international coalition providing logistical support to the Iraqi forces was targeted with an explosive device on the international road linking southern Iraq with the capital.” Baghdad“.
He added, “The targeting took place within the administrative borders of Muthanna Governorate, and material damage was caused to one of the tankers, without any human damage being recorded.”
This is not the first time for this incident, as last Friday, an explosive device targeted a military convoy of the International Coalition on Yusufiya Road, south of the Iraqi capital, Baghdad.
Militias loyal to Iran continue to target the international coalition forces and diplomatic missions in Iraq, specifically inside the Green Zone in Baghdad.
