The coalition demands civilians to evacuate “Houthi sites” in Sana’a

After the militias targeted Abha airport, southwest of Saudi Arabia, with a drone, the coalition said that “the Houthis chose to blatantly escalate by targeting civilian airports and civilians.”

He added that “the militias deliberately targeting civilian airports is an unforgivable extension that requires deterrence,” vowing to bomb crucial points in Sanaa that the Houthis use to launch marches.

And the spokesman for the coalition, Brigadier General Turki Al-Maliki, announced that the Saudi air defenses managed to thwart an attempt to hostile cross-border action by using a booby-trapped drone launched by the Houthi militia, through a systematic and deliberate way to target civilians traveling and working at Abha International Airport.

Al-Maliki added that “this hostile attempt constitutes a war crime, and a violation of international humanitarian law and its customary rules.”

The spokesman stressed that the leadership of the joint forces of the coalition will take and implement the necessary measures to ensure the protection of civilian objects and civilians, in accordance with international humanitarian law and its customary rules.
