The list of accused names included the heads of the three authorities in Iran, in addition to the Secretary of the Iranian National Security Council, the Minister of Interior and senior commanders of the Revolutionary Guards, the police forces and the army.
Other officials include Mohammad Javad Azari Jahromi, Minister of Communications and Information Technology, and Mojtaba Zolnour, head of the Iranian Parliament’s National Security and Foreign Policy Committee.
The list of 160 accused included the names of the governors of some Iranian provinces, police and security officials in the provinces, and some cities.
The Prosecutor of the November International People’s Court charged 160 Iranian officials with “crimes against humanity” based on documents received from 440 people, 219 of whom were heard and verified.
In addition, the third day of the second round of the November International People’s Court was held with the testimony of a senior officer of the Iranian Revolutionary Guards. According to reports, the officer called the court’s organizers on Saturday night (5 February) and asked to testify.
In his testimony, he stated that 427 people were killed in Khuzestan, southwestern Iran, 420 others in Tehran, and nearly 8000 people were arrested in Tehran.
