The rescue team arrives at the child Ryan… and a medical team is preparing to take him out
The Moroccan website, Hespress, confirmed that the rescue teams had arrived at the five-year-old, Rayan, and his tragedy became the focus of the world’s attention.
The Moroccan authorities had brought an ambulance and a helicopter equipped for resuscitation, in order to transport the child Rayan to the hospital on the spot, as soon as he was able to get him out.
Attempts to save the child Rayan began at the beginning of the crisis, through the disembarkation of people practicing what is known as Istighwar, but the narrow diameter of the well prevented them from reaching the stranded child.
The child Ryan fell to a depth of more than 30 meters, while the volunteers could not descend more than 20 meters, and because of this stumbling, rescue efforts focused on an alternative plan.
According to the approved plan, the rescue teams built a large hole parallel to the place where the child Ryan fell, and upon reaching the depth in which it is located, a horizontal excavation was started.
painstaking search
The excavation process was carried out with great care, according to officials, to avoid any landslides and landslides, because this matter would harm the child Rayan and the rescue personnel as well.
Following the end of the horizontal excavation process, one of the godfathers of this operation, whose nickname is “Amy Ali”, exited the tunnel that was erected in the place.
The exit of the famous excavator was greeted with greetings and applause from the crowds that have been hovering around the place for days to follow up on the rescue operation, despite persistent pleas for them to get away.
Moroccan security forces cordon off the entrance to the excavation site, in anticipation of the moment the child Rayan is retrieved, with ambulances and a helicopter ready to transport him, once he is taken out.
Drilling workers use metal channels to pass the dust out and protect themselves, while the competent authorities have installed devices to monitor any vibrations in the well area.
Earlier, a spokesman for the Rescue Committee said, “Baby Ryan is being supplied with oxygen and there is great hope for his survival.”
On Tuesday, Rayan fell into a deep well in a village in the Chefchaouen province in northern Morocco. Then, on Thursday, videos spread, showing him still moving slightly, which raised high hopes that he would be released while he was still alive.
