Iraq.. Muqtada al-Sadr receives the commander of the Iranian Quds Force
The Iraqi News Agency reported,consciousThat Muqtada al-Sadr, the leader of the Sadrist movement, received the commander of the Iranian Quds Force of the Revolutionary Guards, Ismail Qaani.
The agency said in a brief news that Al-Sadr received Qaani at his residence in Al-Hanana in the city of Najaf.
It is noteworthy that Qaani paid a visit to Iraq a few days ago, his third in less than two weeks, during which he held meetings with the forces of the Shiite coordination framework led by Nuri al-Maliki.
Al-Sadr adheres to a national unity government
In addition, informed sources indicated that great pressure is being placed on Al-Sadr to abandon the idea of going in a national majority government to the side of the Sunnis and the Kurds, as the pro-Iranian coordination framework insists on being part of a consensual government, and this is what Al-Sadr rejects, who accepted the entry of some forces from the framework. But he still insisted on rejecting the participation of Nuri al-Maliki.
It is noteworthy that the Sadrist bloc topped the elections held on October 10, with 73 seats, followed by the Alliance of Progress with 37, the State of Law coalition with 33, and then the Kurdistan Democratic Party with 31.
