And it was not only Trezeguet’s tears that saddened the pioneers of the social media, but his pointing with his fingers and his hum to his colleague Amr Al-Sulayya, which is almost understandable to all football fans without the need to hear it.
And social media pioneers on various platforms, especially Twitter, quickly sympathized with the video clip of the player Mahmoud Trezeguet, which shows the player’s crying moments after the match, and his indication of losing the second final of the African Championship.
For his part, the Egyptian media, Ahmed Schubert, sent a message to the Egyptian national team player, Mahmoud Trezeguet, after the Egyptian team lost the African Nations Cup.
Schubert wrote on his Twitter account: “Your tears are precious, Trezeguet. God willing, compensation in March by qualifying for the World Cup.”
The message of the Egyptian Minister of Sports
The Egyptian Minister of Youth and Sports, Ashraf Sobhi, also sent an important message to the players of the Egyptian national football team, after losing the final of the African Nations Cup.
Ashraf Sobhi told the players in the dressing room after the match: “A championship and it’s over. We have two matches (World Cup qualifiers) and we cannot give up our rights. I repeat, we will not give up our rights. It is not over, and God willing, we will be stronger.”
He added, “From the beginning, we only wanted to show our best, however, we played 3 finals against Côte d’Ivoire, Morocco and Cameroon. Nobody gave the same performance and this is a difficult path but you.”
He continued, “What happened will not break us. We will be sad, but we will come back stronger. We have the World Cup qualifiers ahead, and now we have a team we can be proud of.”
Egypt will meet Senegal again in the middle of next March, in two home and away matches in the final stage of the African qualifiers for the 2022 World Cup.
