He added, “We are pleased to see the effective use of the anti-missile defense system (THAAD) in the UAE, and I know that this reassures everyone in the UAE, and we will continue to cooperate with the country to develop more effective defense systems in the future.”
“We are working with our partners in the region and with defense technology development companies in the United States, to develop solutions that will deal with the drones before they are launched,” said the general who oversees US forces in the Middle East.

And regarding the killing of the leader of the terrorist organization, Abu Ibrahim al-Hashimi al-Quraishi, during a US raid, as part of counter-terrorism efforts in northwest Syria, last Wednesday, McKenzie said: “I think that getting rid of the leader of ISIS makes it difficult for the organization to coordinate its activities around the world.” .
